The Real Wangwang

Wangwang cleans and cares for her puppies.
She would gently catch a trouser leg when someone she liked was leaving, then lower herself into a play bow and invite them to stay.
She calmly let someone cover her head with tiny stickers, then walked away with them still on, wagging her tail.
Her puppies followed her everywhere. Motherhood exhausted her, but she never stepped away.
After her puppies were adopted, she found the door on her own. She ran back every day to see that they were safe.
This is Wangwang from behind on her final evening: tail held high, taking quick little steps back to her drainage-channel home and her newborn puppies.
